Barba Corsini

Barba Corsini (1916-2008) was a Spanish functionalist architect, famous for his renovation and interior design for Antonio Gaudi’s La Pedrera building in Barcelona, for which he won numerous international awards.

Corsini got his influence from the German architect Mies van der Rohe and American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and he was also strongly inspired by the simplistic and clean Finnish architecture, which he believed to be the finest in Europe. Corsini’s style has been described as ’powerful simplicity’, which is clearly represented in the lamps and furniture of the Pedrera series.
