The 3D Lounge Chair is designed by Boris Berlin and Poul Christiansen of Komplot Design. The lounge chair is an evolution of the Gubi 3D Chair which was the first furniture design to be based on the innovative technique of molding three-dimensional veneer. The 3D design gives the chair a comfortable seat and sense of lightness – with all edges pointing away from the user. Due to this ground breaking technology, the thickness of the veneer is allowed to be reduced to half than normally used. Today, the chair design is exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and has won several prestigious design awards. Based upon an innovative moulding technique using three-dimensional veneer. The 3D design gives the chair comfort and a sense of lightness – with all edges pointing away from the user. The lounge chair is available with a sled base or wood base. Seat available with wood shell, front or fully upholstered. It is non-stackable. Plastic glides included, felt glides available on request. Available for use in contract or high traffic areas. The Collection includes chairs, stools and lounge chairs.
