Jacques Martin I & II
Jacques Martin I and II are hybrids that combine crates with trunks but aren’t functional as either. They are designed to be used as furniture. They are meant to evoke thoughts of travel from a romanticized era but they remain static. They play on the transformation in function that old steamer trunks, by Goyard, Moynat, and Louis Vuitton have experienced where most are now used as furniture more than for travel.
