Steel frame powder coated black, polyurethane foam and polyester batting with fabric or leather, plastic glides, designed in 1960. Tapiovaara employed a more clean cut design idiom instead of the more organic style he had favored previously. Instead of wood, he chose oval steel tubing as the structural and unifying element. Kiki was a success, establishing the current direction for furniture design at this time. Kiki’s timeless and elegant design idiom has made it one of the most popular pieces of public furniture in Finland. Available in 1, 2 and 3 seater. Kiki collection also contains a sofa, chair, stool, lounge chair, table, side table and sofa table. Additional finishes and configurations available made to order in collections. COM/COL must be preapproved. Please note pricing does not include shipping of fabric or leather to the overseas workroom.
