Nobsa Rug

Sebastian Herkner’s NOBSA rugs for ames feature an elongated centre part, which creates the effect of two rugs lying one on top of the other. This design takes inspiration from the patterns of the plastic bags in which Colombian farmers transport their potatoes and from the various impressions the designer gathered at the many Colombian markets. The distinct colorways in combination with a weaving technique that uses different directions lends the handwoven 100% virgin wool rugs their very unique look.
