Oscar is a tribute to Oscar Ribeiro de Almeida de Niemeyer Soares more commonly known as Oscar Niemeyer the famous Brazilian Pritzker prized architect. Renowned for its construction of Brazilia or the French communist party in Paris, Niemeyer, contrary to le Corbusier, who was of great influence loved curves when Le Corbusier preferred lines and right angles Charles Kalpakian whom we now know for his ability to draw intersections offers us today this elegant design lounge chair which armrest’s curves are meant to evoke Niemeyer’s work. Sofa with structure in solid pine. Seat fixed on crossed elastic straps for comfort and lasting support. Legs in ash with six possible finishes. Wide variety of available leathers and fabrics. COM/COL also possible. The collection includes: armchair and sofa.
