Dennis Marquart

Dennis Marquart, co-founder of the Danish design company OX Denmarq, is known for his attraction to plain forms and combinations of various different materials. Besides studying furniture design at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, Marquart has also studied in Japan and China. The Asian influence is visible in his work as aesthetics of simplicity and precision, which fit seamlessly together with the traditions of Scandinavian design. In the collections of OX Denmarq, classic and strong materials such as leather, wood, and steel take modern and light forms together. A fine example is the O Table, in which marble and steel combine into an airy and fresh design.
