FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does QUICKSHIP mean?

Property provides a stock program that allows our clients to receive many of our most popular products with significantly shorter lead times, often in two weeks or less. Please refer to the QUICKSHIP area on our website for additional information on these products.  The lead time indicated online is an estimate as the product sells quickly and may be out of stock once the order is placed. Please check with us to see if an item is in stock.

Where can I find pricing for items in collections?

Each product page has a button “REQUEST A QUOTE”. This sends us an email. We respond within the end of that business day or the following morning. Please let us know if you need pricing urgently and we will make your request a priority. If you would like to send an email with a compiled list of all items you are interested in receiving pricing on, please send to quotes(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com

What are typical lead times for items that are not QUICKSHIP?

Most of our items are handcrafted in Europe. Lead times vary from 6-20weeks. We are not responsible for any production or shipping delays.  If any delays occur we will email you with a status update as soon as it is brought to our attention. Does Property offer custom specifications on furniture from our collections or custom furniture production?

Most of our pieces are customizable. If you do not see a size or finish you need please send us an email to quotes(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com along with the item name and specification needed. We also have the ability to make your designs come to life thanks to our close relationship we have developed with factories around the world. Please note we do not produce copies or reproductions without authorized notice from the designer.

Are all your items online in your New York City showroom?

As much as we would like to have all our pieces in the showroom it is not physically possible. We have a vast selection in our showroom that has been carefully curated to represent all our collections. Our showroom is constantly changing, if you would like to inquire about a particular piece please send us an email to Info(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com 

How can I tell what an item feels like before ordering?

We have carefully tested all our pieces for their quality and general comfort. Before placing a large order, some designers have purchased one sample and then completed the order upon obtaining client approval of the item. If you are an architect or designer, please contact a showroom sales associate at info(at)propertyfunrniture(dot)com to assist you. For those in the New York area, we also invite you to visit our Tribeca showroom to view and experience our items in person.  Appointments are not necessary but are recommended.

Are finish samples available?

Swatches and finish samples are available for most products on behalf of the Trade and can be requested or seen through our New York showroom.  You may also submit your request via email to info(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com

Please note samples are natural materials and color may vary.

Is your website secure?

The site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. All orders are transmitted over secure Internet connections using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology. This website, and most importantly all user information, is further protected by a multi-layer firewall based security system.

How can I be sure my purchase is an authentic licensed design?

Property only sells licensed authentic designs from authorized manufacturers. You can be confident that your purchase is a 100% authentic authorized design.

Does Property buy or sell vintage designs?

Property sells new licensed authentic products and vintage mid-century furniture. We do not buy pre-owned furniture. Please contact info(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com more information.

What payment options do you offer?

Property gladly accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. We also accept checks. If you would like to make a wire transfer or send a check please contact us at sales(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com

What are my delivery options and how much do they cost?

Shipping and handling charges are based on the value of your order and the shipping method you choose. Please see our Delivery Options for complete details and shipping rates. If you need a shipping quote at the time of order please ask us and we would be happy to provide an estimate. Otherwise, delivery will be calculated at the time of delivery and balance payment. Delivery cost is subject to change.

How can I check my order status?

You will receive an email with your order confirmation, complete with all order details and estimated delivery schedule. Once your items are ready to be delivered you will receive an email. If you would like to check on your order status please contact us with your invoice number or if you have additional questions please send an email to sales(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com or 917 237 0123 for customer service assistance.

How will I know if my product requires installation?

We will notify you if a product requires installation at the time of your inquiry. Most of our dining tables, beds, cabinets, shelving and some chairs require some assembly to avoid damages during shipping. WHITE GLOVE/Installation delivery service will ensure each product is installed carefully and correctly. If items are delivered to a warehouse or otherwise noted white glove delivery and installation service is not available. Please note Property does not provide electrical installation or wall mounting services.

What are your live customer service and showroom hours?

The Property showroom is open Monday through Friday 10am – 6pm and Saturday from 12-6pm Eastern Standard Time. Please contact us for our Holiday Schedule for specific closing dates or if you would like to schedule an appointment. We are closed on Saturdays during the summer.

Does Property offer Trade or bulk pricing?

Yes, we work closely with Architects, Interior Designers and purchasing agents on residential, hospitality and contract projects. Please contact contract(at)propertyfuniture(dot)com

Are your furniture pieces available for rental?

Yes, Property has been providing furniture rentals since 1999 for movies, fashion editorials, commercials, catalogs and campaigns as well as apartment staging.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

 

Shipping Methods & Costs

At Property shipping and handling charges are based on the value of your order along with the size of the product. Delivery is calculated at the time of balance payment. If your item is in stock delivery will be calculated at the time of confirmation email.  Shipping address must be provided at the time of order. If you are unsure where you would like your item shipped you can provide address before delivery. Please note additional fees may incur if no shipping address or incorrect/change of address is provided at the time of order. All orders ship from our dispatch warehouse. We do not offer in-store pickups. Delivery quotes are available please inquire by sending an email to quotes(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com for further assistance.

STANDARD DELIVERY IN THE UNITED STATES

Standard Delivery is defined as one shipping method selected for delivery to one address. The order value is calculated before tax and can be found in the subtotal area on your invoice. For items that are on sale or discounted, the order value is calculated using the original price.

WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY SURCHARGE

Will need to be quoted at time of order confirmation.

 

STANDARD DELIVERY offers delivery to your front door. If the destination is an apartment or multi-unit building, your order will be delivered inside the entrance of the building, but not to your apartment door. If you need an item delivered inside your apartment this is considered WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY. The typical delivery window is 1-10 business days from the day your order is shipped. Standard Delivery does not include unpacking, assembly or removal of packing materials.

WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY is a full-service delivery.  A delivery appointment is required and the service includes inside delivery, placement in your room of choice and removal of all packing materials. Please note, White Glove Delivery does not include wall mounting, electrical or structural change nor the moving or removal of existing items.

WHITE GLOVE/INSTALLATION DELIVERY is a full-service delivery. A delivery appointment is required and the service includes: inside delivery, along with any installation the product involves placement in your room of choice and removal of all packing materials. White Glove/installation Delivery does not include wall mounting, electrical or structural change nor the moving or removal of existing items.

EXPEDITED DELIVERY is an additional service we offer to clients that have a specific deadline. If you have a particular deadline please provide this at time of order.

THIRD PARTY SHIPPER:

If our clients would like to use their own freight forwarder Property cannot be held responsible for any damages that have occurred. A pickup fee may be incurred from our warehouse please advise at time of order confirmation.

CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE is needed this must be made aware of at time your order is placed. Otherwise, an additional fee of $ 50 may be incurred. Please note workers comp is not needed for inside deliveries.

STORAGE

We are unable to store items for more than 2 weeks after your item is ready for delivery. If you are not ready to accept your order between the stated delivery time there will be a storage fee applied per week depending on your order. Property will not be responsible for any damages of products held in storage.

Additional information regarding deliveries:

Property is not responsible for any production or delivery delays. Some circumstances are unfortunately out of our control since most of our items are made to order. Our lead times are an estimate of production and delivery time of an item.  You will be notified via email if there are any production or shipping delays that are brought to our attention. If there are any project delays on the clients’ end please notify us as soon as possible so we can help arrange a later delivery date without storage charge. Property is not responsible for any items that do not fit in any building and apartment entryways or elevator. Please make sure to measure all spaces prior to order. If you have any concerns of small spaces for delivery please email us at time of order.

Items need to be inspected within 24 hours of delivery. Damages reported after the 24 hour period will not be accepted.  Items being picked up by Third party shipper must inspect merchandise at pick up otherwise no claims can be accepted after pick up.

An item that has an open balance for more than 2 weeks credit card will be charged automatically. Orders with no scheduled delivery and have been in storage for more than 3 months without client communication will be considered forfeited. Any payments will not be returned.

Claims for Damaged Items

If an item has been received damage keep all packaging. Please send us an email to info(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com along with pictures of the damaged item. We will get back to you as soon as possible with a resolution.  Any damages that are reported during the time frame will be replaced. If an item has been damaged by Third Party shipper Property cannot be held responsible.

Terms and Conditions

Order Processing

Orders are not considered processed until payment is received. 50% deposit is required to process all custom orders. Full payment is required for all quick ship or in stock items. Expedited orders are given top priority. Orders placed after 6 PM EST on Friday will begin processing the following Monday.

An email confirmation will be sent once an order has been placed online and received by our company.

Order processed email will be sent once your order has been put into production.

Standard delivery orders typically ship within 2-3 business days from when the order was placed.  Delays may occur depending on product availability and credit card verification.

We will contact you if the item you have ordered is not currently in stock.

Payment Methods

Property accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. We also accept checks and wires. If you are an architect or interior designer please contact a showroom sales associate at sales(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com for payment information.

Sales Tax

Sales tax will be applied to all orders shipped in New York. Tax for orders shipping out of the state of New York is not applied. For tax exemption please submit a resale certificate.

Change in Terms

Prices are subject to change without notice. If a product is listed at an incorrect price Property reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order placed at the incorrect price.

COM/COL orders

Fabric needs to be preapproved. Please send a sample of material to Property.

For COM/COL (customers own material or leather) orders delivery time starts once factory receives fabric. Please, allow1-2 weeks for fabric to be received at the factory. Unless otherwise noted. Production does not start until the fabric is received. Shipping of material to workroom is an additional cost, which will be billed at time of balance payment request.

Please make sure all packages are side marked with the invoice number, client name or project. If rolls are not properly marked this can result in a delay or loss of material.

Contract

Property offers expertise in contract projects both large and small. We have extensive experience in meeting specific needs such as: Green Guard or LEED certifications, NFPA Codes and Standards, GSA programs and more. We also work closely with factories around the world to supply contract furniture to hospitality projects. To request a quote or to discuss your large project please contact us at 917 237 0123 or send us an email request to contract(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com and a contract specialist will contact you within 24 business hours.

Refusal of delivery

If you refuse delivery of any order placed with Property the package will be returned to our dispatch warehouse. There will be an additional charge to have the item redelivered.

Checking Order Status

You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been received. When your order has shipped we will send you an additional email that includes the UPS or FedEx tracking number for your package or White Glove delivery information. Please reference both your order number and, if available, your tracking number when contacting Property Customer Service.

For UPS delivery, upon receiving your shipping confirmation email, you may visit http://www.ups.com/tracking/tracking.html to verify the status of your order. For FedEx delivery, you may visit; http://www.fedex.com/Tracking? to verify the status of your order. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours after your order has shipped for the tracking information to appear in the UPS or FedEx system(s).

RETURNS

Please inspect your purchase immediately upon delivery. Our goal is to make our clients happy and to provide you not only with access to great design, but also hassle-free shopping experience. We only sell authorized and licensed products from original manufacturers and stand behind the quality of every product in our carefully curated collection. Our products are handcrafted and made per order. All orders are final sale. We do not accept returns of custom orders, special order items, floor models or items that have been shipped from a third party vendor.  Under some special circumstances in-stock items may be exchanged, however, a 25% re-stocking fee and return delivery to our warehouse will be added.

Changes and Cancellations

Property processes orders immediately to ensure on-time delivery.  All sales are final. If an order needs to be revised please contact us within 24 hours.

Defective Merchandise

All our products leave the factory only after passing quality control. However, if there are any product defects due to manufacturing process please email us immediately to file a claim. We can not be held responsible for defective merchandise that has been delivered after the warranty period or has been altered without approval. This also includes merchandise that has never been reported via email. Warranties vary from product to product. We will get back to you with a resolution within 72hours. We are not responsible for items that have been moved from originally delivery location. Please address all claims to info(at)propertyfurniture(dot)com along with order number, description, and pictures.
