Meike Harde

Whether it is textile wardrobes, marbled mirror, or plates with real flowers, Meike Harde’s pieces of furniture, luminaires, and accessories combine constructive as well as intuitive elements, and always show a subtle poetic character. “An ornament should also serve a purpose”, says the award-winning Cologne designer, who deliberately questions and reinterprets common production techniques. Her works were featured in numerous exhibitions, including the Holon Design Museum in Tel Aviv, and are distributed through a number of internationally renowned design manufacturers. Pulpo and Meike Harde met during a vernissage at the beginning of her career, while she was exhibiting in various galleries. Truly loving her experimental and methodical approach with colors and materials, Pulpo already includes three of her designs: wardrobe/mirror Miro, its wall version, Miro on the Wall, as well as Potpourri, a set of carafes and glasses, part of the Fabulously Awesome Tablescape collection – all showing her deep and sensitive understanding of shapes, shades, and surfaces.
