Carlo Cumini
Carlo Cumini was born in Gemona del Friuli in 1953 where he actually works. In 1974 concluded his studies at the Technical Institute Marinoni in Udine and begins to work in the family business, engaged in selling and designing furniture for the house. From 1979 to 1984 designs individual pieces of furniture which become then serial production for the Company since 1985 and for Horm since its founding in 1989. In 1993 begins to approach the outdoor furniture and participate to the implementation of some products for the “giardino di pietra” (Stone Garden) and for the “laboratorio del marmo” (marble laboratory). In 1995 he started his co-operation with Alberto Freschi and with Carlo Bancolini who lives and works in Marrakech. In 2000 designs and realizes the furnishing for the Museum of Modern Art in Caracas.
