Xavier Mañosa & The Mashallah Design Studio

Mañosa was born in 1981. His parents were both ceramists and Mañosa grew up in the studio, surrounded by kilns and potters wheels. He studied industrial and graphic design at the Escola de la Llotja and at the Bau School of Design, both in Barcelona. He worked in Berlin before opening the Apparatu ceramics studio, which today handles the production side of the business in Barcelona while Mañosa works in Germany.
Founded in 2008 by Hande Akçayli and Murat Koçyigit, the Mashallah studio of Berlin is described by its creators as “an interdisciplinary design studio dedicated to the poetry of design, art, and technology.” The studio follows a free and experimental approach to design.
